话说今日艳阳高照 It is a good day today

于是前往一年一度的香港书展参观购书 So we went to the annual HK book expo

还没买到票 Before we got our tickets

就已被这摩肩接踵的阵势给震住了 We were shocked by the number of people outside the ticketing counter

至于里面 When entered

那就更夸张了 Things became worse

感觉就像在走一个巨大的迷宫 It was like walking in a huge maze

场馆还是很气派的 The expo center looks great

组织者想的也很周到 The organizer are very considerate

我拿了很多张 I have taken many of them...

实习 Internship

20号开始实习到现在已过了10天 It's been 10 days since I started my internship on June 20th

每天朝八晚六的作息时间已大体习惯 Already adapted to the working schedule of "8am-6pm"

工作逐渐步入正轨并开始加班 The job has gradually been regulated into the expected track

和同组的同事每天都有不少的交流 Been having a lot of communications with my teammates everyday

和周围的同事至少也都混了个脸熟 And become fairly familiar with the collegues sitting nearby

而与一同实习的另两个城大学生也相处融洽 Also get along quite well with the other 2 student placements from CityU

或许因为所在的技术部门并不属于面子工程 Maybe it's because my department is not kind of "appearance engineering"

办公条件并没有想象中华丽 The office environment is not so lavish as I originally thought

一间一望无际的巨型办公室分成无数小型的隔间 A huge room is seperated into countless small workplaces

普通员工电脑也只是四五年前的主流配置 The PC used by ordinary employees are just of standard level of 4 or 5 years ago

可正是这里 But it's just these out-dated PCs

支撑起了遍布世界主要国家的网络底层架构 Which maintain the network infrastracture all around the world

规章制度并没有想象中那么严格 There are no real strict working regulations or rules

甚至不检查迟到和早退 They don't even check whether someone is late for job or leave early

仿佛秩序都靠人的自觉和道德来维持 It seems all the orders here is maintained by self-control and ethic

这样看来 In this way

香港还真是一个奇怪的地方 Hong Kong is really a strange place

刚起步的缘故 For I just started for a few days

暂时来说工作还没有让我感到有很大成就感 The job for me currently is not fulfilling enough

不过倒是不担心以后 But I will not worry about the future

同组的同事们总是笑着说很快事情会多到你呕血 For my teammates always tell me that I will be busy to death soon

理论知识也会被实践到不实践 And theories will be tested in practices even to a impractical level

天生就不是安分的人 Born an ambitious man
